M. Mackenzie’s plays have been variously performed and published in English (original language), French, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech, Hungarian and German. The most recent played in Montreal (Centaur, Théâtre d’Aujourd'hui), Toronto (Coalmine), Ottawa (CNA) and toured Quebec (a six month tour of Spain & Portugal was interrupted by Covid). He has directed and written/co-written two feature films which variously played at Sundance, Toronto (TIFF), Tokyo, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Montreal (FNC) and were theatrically released in Canada. He was a writer/dramaturge on three Cirque du Soleil shows including ‘Ka’ (Las Vegas). He lives in Montreal with his partner and two sons.
